The games are on!

You might be wondering where we have been the last few weeks..... watching rugby! The first round of games are now over and the top 8 teams start on round 2 this weekend. NZ is currently the leader but they have just lost the number 1 player due to injury. We watched the 4 USA games but they are now out of the tournament. The US is considered one of the 'minnow' teams- along with Russia, Georgia, Fiji, etc. They weren't expected to do much for the tournament but the general consensus from those in the know is that the US should be a top contender for the next tournament in a few years.

John has also been working on the new boat. We moved it to the marina by our house a couple weekends back. John has been working on the engine and doing some tidy up. The interesting tidbit about Opal is that it was the model boat for the Davidson 28 sales brochure. Davidson's were sold as kit boats for the 'do it yourselfer'. It is a cruiser style boat that has a 4 beths, head and galley area. John is looking forward to some weekends away in the gulf.

We are also looking forward to our friend Jackie coming to town in a couple weeks. She is going to be here for finals weekend and we are going down to the south island for a week as well.
